On Monday 5th November 2001, we organized a Guy Fawkes Party in our school. Some girls made cakes and bought drinks and crisps. The boys prepared the bonfire: they collected wood and bought fireworks. Using sticks, newspapers and old clothes we made a model of the “Guy”.

In the morning of the big event, we invited the students and the Principal of the school in our classroom where we told them about the history and the traditions of Guy Fawkes.

We also offered them “ginger bread” biscuits. After that, we went outside to burn the “Guy”.

The boys lit up a big bonfire with the help of the school assistants and we threw the puppet in.

What a show!!!  The “Guy” was stuffed with fireworks and... ...BANG!!!
"HELP!!! The Principal is going to burst!"
Luckily she didn’t blow up…

...as you can well see!!!

While the fire was fading out, we started the big “banquet”: everybody enjoyed it very much!!!

It was a BEAUTIFUL SCHOOL MORNING!
